Project:

Builder Upgrade

This 2001 Colonial was purchased sight-unseen for out of state buyers. The large house was in a great neighborhood and lots of possibilities. However, the builder-grade finishes did not reflect the new homeowner’s discerning taste. A remodeled

kitchen and primary bathroom were the first priority.

The remodeled kitchen is a dramatic transformation with upgraded, luxury finishes. Through the design process, the client realized a remodeled mudroom and entrance would be essential for the active family. The kitchen can now function to its fullest potential with adjacent support areas. The custom walnut island with a sea green quartzite is the centerpiece. A seldom used broom closet was transformed into the wet bar with glass cabinets for the owner’s barware collection. The hidden “drop zone” cabinetry was custom designed for the client. An intricate glass backsplash is the perfect finishing touch.

The primary bathroom remodel started with a need for a retreat for the busy homeowners. The large space was transformed with high-end finishes inspired by a 1920s social club. Custom walnut cabinets and marble floor inset “rug” set the tone. The luxury bathroom will be enjoyed for years to come.
